The next generation Volkswagen Passat will get the option for a twin-turbocharged 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine producing up to 236 horsepower, impressive output figures for a turbodiesel engine of that size. The new gearbox family would be installed in both transverse or longitudinal engine bays, and will be able to take torque of up to 500 Nm.
